» Dr. Tim Cross- Chancellor UT Institutute of Agriculture 

Dr. Cross received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University and a Ph.D in Agricultural Economics from Oregon State University. He joined UT in 1994 as an Associate Professor of Agricultural Economics and has served as Assistant and Associate Dean of UT Extension. Dr. Cross was named Dean in 2008.


» Dr. William Brown- UT AgResearch Dean and Professor     

Dr. Brown is responsible for the research programs of some 130 agricultural and natural resource faculty in seven academic departments. In addition, he oversees the management of our ten research facilities in strategic locations across the state. He represents UT AgResearch in the Institute of Agriculture, and coordinates with our partner entities -- the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, UT Extension, and the College of Veterinary Medicine. A professor of animal science, Dr. Brown has published widely in both the scientific and trade literature and has served in editorial and review capacities for a number of scholarly publications, including the Journal of Animal Science and the Journal of Production Agriculture.

» Dr. Robert Burns- UT Extension Dean and Professor  

Robert serves as the UT Extension Dean and State Program Leader for UT Extension Agricultural and Natural Resources and Resource Development programs. In this position he supports the efforts of the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture academic departments, the Soil Plant and Pest Center, the Center for Profitable Agriculture and the 95 county Extension offices across Tennessee in their Extension Agriculture and Natural Resources program planning and delivery efforts. Prior to serving as Dean, Robert served as an Extension Specialist at the University of Tennessee and at Iowa State University where he conducted applied research and extension programming focused on animal manure and agricultural waste management.

Dr. White focuses on UT AgResearch programs by facilitating the development of multi-disciplinary faculty teams that cut across departments and institutions. Dr. Sims focuses primarily on facility and construction projects at the Research and Education Centers. He also assists with the development of research workplans, field days and special events, employee training programs for Center employees, risk management, safety and compliance, and other related activities. » Dr. Neal Schrick- Professor and Head UT Animal Science

Neal Schrick earned his Ph.D and M.S. from Clemson University in 1990 and 1988, respectively. His research focuses primarily on reproductive physiology and endocrinology with emphasis on environmental and management factors related to embryonic/fetal mortality with assisted reproductive technologies and deviations in estrous cyclicity.
